Their architect recommended Kitchen Design Centre and Jo made appointments with two other kitchen companies, but she was so impressed with designer Lucy Bannister at Kitchen Design Centre’s Barrowford showroom that she cancelled the other appointments. She felt Lucy’s approach was perfect, being both professional and friendly, with no sales pressure.
Jo’s brief was completely opposite to her current kitchen which was traditional in style with a range cooker. Lucy interpreted it perfectly and Jo worked closely with Lucy to finalise the design with only minor tweaks required. Despite having to work from plans and not seeing the room, Jo felt Lucy completely understood the look and feel they were after.

A sleek, modern look was achieved together with a ‘country’ feel thanks to Lucy’s choice of warm colours and a mixture of textures throughout. Cristall Carbon Metallic was chosen for the central Tall and Midi units and Laser soft Cashmere for the larder, base and wall units. A Misty Willow Quartz worktop and a Grain Cut Natural Oak wood breakfast bar, frame and open framed shelves further softened the look to create a warm, homely feel.
To replace the range cooker Jo had, Lucy included a range of eye level Neff ovens and complemented these with a suite of Neff appliances: Integrated Dishwasher, Tall Fridge, Tall, No Frost Freezer and Flex Induction Venting hob. A Caple Wine Cooler and Ice Trough, Blanco sink and Quooker twin taps were also chosen.

Jo loved that Lucy designed a separate drinks area and open areas of the kitchen with shelving where items could be displayed and on show, rather than hidden behind doors. The whole family love the kitchen and they wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lucy and Kitchen Design Centre.
