He visited Kitchen Design Centre’s Failsworth showroom and was so impressed with the quality of the product and with Lauren’s ideas that he didn’t approach any other kitchen companies for alternative designs or quotations. He liked that fact that there was no heavy sales pitch and that Lauren really listened to his ideas. From the outset he felt he could trust Lauren and that she had real pride in her work.
Thanks to Lauren’s design a dated, dark, grey kitchen soon became a fresher, lighter, brighter one as she remodelled the whole space, opting for lighter coloured units in Laser Soft Taupe and a revised layout. Not only did it look better but it is now far more practical and works with zoned areas for preparation, dining and entertaining which are separate but work perfectly together in the space.

A key element of the re-design included a stunning media wall that has become a real focal point in the room. Despite wanting a lighter kitchen, Richard was concerned that the kitchen would look too clinical but Lauren preventing this by cleverly introducing walnut accents for a homely feel and linking the media wall with the walnut elements of the kitchen.
Richard liked the fact that Lauren took the time to perfect the design, presenting a few options that they tweaked until it was perfect. Clever additions really make the space such as the shelving area that is not only practical but softens the design and the addition of brass features throughout.
As a keen cook Richard was delighted that Kitchen Design Centre were a Neff Master partner and chose Neff throughout with the venting hob in glass black and the Slide and Hide Oven and Compact microwave together with a Neff integrated fridge freezer.
Richard was most impressed with Kitchen Design Centre’s fitters who installed the kitchen whilst he was on holiday, meaning he returned to a fabulous new kitchen.
The result is a fabulous open plan space that cleverly combines the kitchen with an entertainment and dining area. It looks fantastic and has become the heart of Richard’s lovely home.
