Every year, our design team packs their bags and heads off to Rödinghausen, Germany, home of Häcker, one of the world’s leading kitchen manufacturers. It’s something we look forward to all year round. Not only is it a chance to see what’s new and exciting in the world of kitchen design, but it’s also an opportunity to catch up with the Häcker team we work so closely with.
After a two-hour coach ride through the beautiful German countryside, we arrived in the quaint town of Rödinghausen, nestled on the southern slopes of the Wiehengebirge. From the moment we stepped into Häcker’s impressive showroom, we were surrounded by creativity, craftsmanship and innovation!
Over two days, we explored around 40 brand-new kitchen displays, each showcasing the very best in upcoming finishes, textures, and product innovations. From striking geometric surfaces to beautifully refined new colour palettes, every space offered a glimpse into the future of contemporary kitchen design.
It’s one thing to see a product in a brochure, but seeing these designs in situ, crafted and curated by Häcker’s expert team, truly brings them to life. Every detail reflected Häcker’s dedication to quality, functionality, and sustainability principles that have defined this family-owned company since Hermann Häcker founded it in 1898.
A highlight of the trip was our behind-the-scenes tour of the Häcker factory. It’s always fascinating to see how these incredible kitchens come together, from raw materials to the finished product. Watching the precision, skill and care that go into every stage of production gave us a new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind the brand.
We also had the chance to meet some of the Häcker team members we regularly chat to over email, putting faces to names and sharing ideas in person! Their passion for design and innovation is contagious, and it’s easy to see why Häcker continues to set the standard for kitchen manufacturing around the world.
Trips like this remind us why we love what we do. They give us the knowledge, inspiration and fresh perspective to bring back to our customers across the North West. The new collections and ideas we’ve seen in Germany will soon make their way into our showrooms, helping us design kitchens that are not only beautiful but built to last.

After years of imagining the potential hidden within their awkward layout, they finally decided to transform the space into something truly special.
From the first meeting in the showroom with Lauren, a strong sense of trust was established. This project required a dramatic structural reconfiguration, with two walls removed to open the kitchen and improve the overall flow of the ground floor.
