Kitchen Design Centre goes baking mad

The day’s finally arrived – The Cake And Bake Show, Manchester, began today.

The Kitchen Design Centre Favourite Kitchen Memories Competition has yielded five winners, who won tickets to this prestigious event.

Our winners will be heading to one of the three days over the weekend. We hope they have an amazing time.

The event is taking place right now at Manchester Central and lasts until Sunday.

The Cake and Bake Show is Manchester’s first ever live event dedicated to cakes, bread and the art of baking.

After its hugely popular launch in Earls Court, London, last year, the show is set to attract baking enthusiasts from all over the UK.

The show includes everything from celebrity demos, and live competitions to tasty treats and all the baking supplies and equipment you’ll ever need.

Foodies will love  the artisan bakers, chocolatiers and cake makers displaying their wares.

At Kitchen Design Centre, we love all things cooking related. We even hold our own Cooking Materclasses in our showrooms, which showcase our designer kitchens. So you can imagine our excitement at the news that renowned baking stars will be demonstrating their expertise to help you learn new baking skills in the kitchen.

Paul Hollywood is appearing today, who worked during his career as Head Baker in some of the most exclusive hotels in the country.

Tom Herbert will be there tomorrow following his success in the Fabulous Baker Brothers programme and his book entitled Glorious British Grub.

TV chef Eric Lanlard, author and presenter of Channel 4’s Baking Mad, will be there all weekend.

Award-winning baker and food writer Dan Lepard will be headlining the Competition theatre. After publishing his first book in 1999 he went on to write the baking classic The Handmade Loaf and now writes for newspapers and magazines around the world.

Chef and co-presenter of Sunday Brunch Simon Rimmer will be showcasing his skills at the show.

Star judge of Britain’s Best Bakery, Peter Sidwell, will be appearing in The Bakery and The Competition Theatre.

Juliet Sear, the face behind Fancy Nancy Cakes, will be demonstrating her sugar craft skills at the show.

Creative Cake Decoration pioneer Mich Turner will be showing off her artistic talents at the show.

And John Whaite 3rd champion of The Great British Bake Off will be showing off his skills.

Plus, there are dozens more celebrities and classroom experts to show you just how to become an expert baker.
