New design assistants join the team

2016 has brought a number of exciting developments to Kitchen Design Centre. Not only have we begun work on our new showroom, we’ve also expanded our team.

Just a few weeks ago, Jenna Roberts joined our Blackburn kitchen showroom and Lee Porter was welcomed to the Manchester kitchen showroom. The new design assistants, who are proving to be an absolute necessity to the team, have helped out with a huge range of tasks from customer service to kitchen visuals and plans.

Jenna brings a whole lot of creativity to the Blackburn showroom with her graphic design qualification, in which she received a distinction. Lee too boasts plenty of passion for the job and comes with a background in engineering and design.

About her time at Kitchen Design Centre so far, Jenna tells us:

“I’ve loved learning about the latest trends and product favourites. The Neff combination microwave has been a real hit with customers while open plan kitchens, featuring an island, have been popular in design.”

“Lots of our customers are also adopting neutral shades for their kitchen and incorporating a mix of textures too.”

On his future with Kitchen Design Centre, Lee tells us:

“I’ve only just begun working with the team but I’m looking forward to learning more about the company and its designs and offerings.”

“It’s been a great experience so far.”

AWARD-WINNING KITCHENS FOR AN AWARD-WINNING DEVELOPER

As you may know if you’ve visited any of our showrooms in Manchester, Blackburn, Liverpool or Barrowford, we manage more than 250 kitchen projects each year here at Kitchen Design Centre. Many of these kitchens are for individual customers, but we also specialise in providing exceptional designer kitchens to housebuilders and developers. We have a particularly successful longstanding relationship with Candelisa, a prestigious Yorkshire-based property developer that is (like us) known for the peerless quality of its designs.
The company already has an impressive array of awards on its shelves, and its team have recently managed to secure their latest accolade: the Best High Volume New Housing Development at the prestigious LABC Awards!
In case you need a quick refresher, the LABC Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the UK’s building control sector, aimed at celebrating and rewarding building projects, and the people behind them. The Best High Volume New Housing Development in question was Candelisa’s project at Countyfields, Embsay. Due to our strong relationship with the company (largely through Simon Thomas, the head of our Barrowford showroom), Kitchen Design Centre was chosen to deliver every kitchen at the Embsay development – and like Candelisa’s team, we’re hugely proud of the results.

Latest case study now live incase you missed it.

With a keen eye for design, Nicole knew the look she wanted and approached a local kitchen company. They came up with a range of designs but although there was nothing wrong with them, the couple felt that they would like an alternative design. They were already dealing with a lot of different companies for other rooms in the house and were reluctant to involve another but Anthony suggested they visited Rowan at Kitchen Design Centre Urmston to see if he could improve the design, and they were absolutely blown away with what he came up with.
