What makes a sterling Father’s Day breakfast?

fathers-day

Father’s day is only a month or so away, and we’ve been busy thinking up ways to show how much Dad means to us here at Kitchen Design Centre. We all know that food never fails to hit the spot – so in this post we’ve come up with a few great ideas for a sterling Father’s Day breakfast.

Whipping up a special breakfast is guaranteed to get the day off to a good start, and as an added bonus it’s a great for kids to join in too – giving Dad a well-needed Sunday morning in peace!

Pancakes American-Style!

Pancakes are delicious, easy to make, and very filling – particularly if you plump for thicker drop-scone-style American pancakes. There’s few better things in the world than waking up to the smell of a stack of freshly-cooked pancakes drowned in maple syrup.

For extra American authenticity, cook up some streaky bacon and serve it on the side. It might sound strange to mix savoury and sweet but if you’re a bit of a foodie already you’ll know how well caramel and salt work together – bacon and maple syrup is similarly sinful (read: delicious).

A warming drawer will keep the bacon hot while you use some of the bacon fat to make the pancakes themselves – this stellar recipe from America’s Martha Stewart is bound to get Dad’s tastebuds tingling!

Never underestimate a good egg

Eggs can be a great way to control calories while still tantalizing the taste-buds, and there’s a huge variety of breakfast meals that put eggs front and centre:

The Quooker boiling water tap makes cooking eggs quick and easy, as it instantly boils water from the moment you switch it on – never wait for a pan to boil again! – so if you’re thinking of ways to say thanks to Dad but don’t want to pile on the pounds, use the Quooker®  to whip up a deliciously light feast in a flash.

You can’t beat the Full English

A cooked breakfast will always please dear old Dad, but if you’ve attempted one before you’ll also know it can be a real juggling act to get all the components ready at the same time.

Never fear, however – the Neff range of induction hobs will give you enough room to move various pots to different heats quickly, depending on what’s finished cooking and what needs more time.

Also, the rather stylish Neff warming drawer will help keep cooked components hot while you ready the final touches – beans, fried egg, hash browns, etc. – and they’re great if you want to heat up your plates before serving (extra important for a cooked breakfast).

Why don’t you splash out on something a bit special?

AWARD-WINNING KITCHENS FOR AN AWARD-WINNING DEVELOPER

As you may know if you’ve visited any of our showrooms in Manchester, Blackburn, Liverpool or Barrowford, we manage more than 250 kitchen projects each year here at Kitchen Design Centre. Many of these kitchens are for individual customers, but we also specialise in providing exceptional designer kitchens to housebuilders and developers. We have a particularly successful longstanding relationship with Candelisa, a prestigious Yorkshire-based property developer that is (like us) known for the peerless quality of its designs.
The company already has an impressive array of awards on its shelves, and its team have recently managed to secure their latest accolade: the Best High Volume New Housing Development at the prestigious LABC Awards!
In case you need a quick refresher, the LABC Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the UK’s building control sector, aimed at celebrating and rewarding building projects, and the people behind them. The Best High Volume New Housing Development in question was Candelisa’s project at Countyfields, Embsay. Due to our strong relationship with the company (largely through Simon Thomas, the head of our Barrowford showroom), Kitchen Design Centre was chosen to deliver every kitchen at the Embsay development – and like Candelisa’s team, we’re hugely proud of the results.

Latest case study now live incase you missed it.

With a keen eye for design, Nicole knew the look she wanted and approached a local kitchen company. They came up with a range of designs but although there was nothing wrong with them, the couple felt that they would like an alternative design. They were already dealing with a lot of different companies for other rooms in the house and were reluctant to involve another but Anthony suggested they visited Rowan at Kitchen Design Centre Urmston to see if he could improve the design, and they were absolutely blown away with what he came up with.
