Initially considering a local bespoke kitchen company, Karen found they couldn’t match the extensive product range and expert design skills of Kitchen Design Centre.
The brief was to celebrate the apartment’s grand architectural features—high ceilings, natural light, and intricate coving—while crafting a kitchen that blended seamlessly with the home’s traditional aesthetic. Lauren’s choice of a pale sage green ash-effect eucalyptus finish brought timeless charm, perfectly paired with classic handles.
Are you ready to make your dream kitchen a reality?
Storage was a priority, and Lauren’s design tackled tricky corners and tall walls with a smart mix of cupboards and drawers that were both practical and visually stunning. Despite limited floor space, Karen’s dream of an island came to life, complemented by a sleek Quartz worktop in Organic White that beautifully reflects the room’s abundant natural light.
The kitchen was also tailored to accommodate Karen’s range cooker, with premium appliances added like a Neff integrated fridge-freezer, a Blanco ceramic farmhouse sink, and a Quooker Pro3 tap.
Karen says: “I’m thrilled with the kitchen. Lauren and the Kitchen Design Centre team have been amazing. Despite the challenges of the space, Lauren created the perfect kitchen that fits our apartment beautifully. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat!”
Designer Lauren Couperthwaite says, “ I loved designing this kitchen. It was a unique project and I loved that Karen was open to incorporating a colour and was open to all my ideas. The kitchen works perfectly in the apartment – it’s the perfect mix of practicality and traditional luxury.”

STUNNING TRANSFORMATION
Our clients chose Kitchen Design Centre because they wanted a dedicated expert to lead the way, rather than a mere supplier of parts
They required a team to guide them from the first spark of an idea to the final finishing touches.
The brief presented a unique challenge – transforming a blank-canvas garage into a space that celebrated the charm of a traditional barn conversion. The room, featuring expansive wooden beams, demanded a thoughtful design.
More than just a kitchen, the clients required a family-oriented living hub with a dining area tailored for entertaining.
Working with Simon, the Manager at our Barrowford showroom, provided total peace of mind. He spent time listening and meticulously exploring various layouts until the vision felt just right.
The result is a traditionally-styled kitchen filled with modern gadgets. The breathtaking Dark Blue Shaker cabinetry serves as a bold anchor, paired with light-toned units to accentuate the warmth of the timber beams and flooring.
