Modern Industrial meets Scandi

Interiors blogger Paulina had a clear idea of exactly how she wanted her kitchen to look. Years of pinning images from Pinterest and Instagram meant she had a firm wish list where every item of the kitchen had been pre-planned. The only tricky bit was finding a kitchen company who could supply every item on her list.

“I wanted a predominantly modern industrial look with Scandinavian elements worked in,” says Paulina. Three things were vital to the design: black and natural wood look cupboards and a concrete worktop on an island.” Paulina went to several kitchen design companies but none of them could deliver all the items on her list. She drove past Kitchen Design Centre’s Blackburn showroom and liked the displays in the window. She called in with her husband Amjad and was immediately blown away with the breadth of the product range available: all of the items on her list could be provided. On top of that she immediately gelled with designer Jenna Roberts.

“ Jenna got my ideas straight away and in contrast to other kitchen companies, Kitchen Design Centre had a real ‘can do’ attitude” says Paulina.” She continues, “ I wanted an island and Jenna was really patient, presenting numerous different designs incorporating the island in different ways and positions before I found the one that I felt worked. I also liked the way I was presented with a realistic 3D image so that I could see how exactly how the kitchen would look before we ordered it.”

In keeping with Paulina’s wish list, Laser soft black and Toronto natural vintage oak doors were chosen, both with black channel handles. The island was finished with a putty concrete pearl grey 16mm laminate and housed the new Blanco Zia XL 6S compact sink in granite pearl grey. This half sized drainer meant less of the worktop was taken up with the sink.

Finished Kitchen

Modern Industrial meets Scandi

Paulina has always followed Neff on Instagram and knew she wanted these appliances. She was delighted when she discovered Kitchen Design Centre were a Neff Masterpartner. The finished design incorporated a Neff hob, Slide and hide oven, combination oven and microwave, warming drawer, freezer and a dishwasher.

Paulina and her family love the kitchen and it has received praise on her blog and social media accounts. “ I can honestly say if I redid the kitchen I wouldn’t change a thing and I’m a real perfectionist. I love everything about it. I’m so happy I found Kitchen Design Centre – their range is incredible and I found a fantastic designer in Jenna.”

Designer Jenna Roberts said:

“ I love this kitchen. It was a joy to turn Paulina’s vision in to reality. Her taste is fantastic and very on-trend. Our wide product ranges meant we were able to accommodate all the items on her wish list and the end result is a striking, stunning kitchen.”

AWARD-WINNING KITCHENS FOR AN AWARD-WINNING DEVELOPER

As you may know if you’ve visited any of our showrooms in Manchester, Blackburn, Liverpool or Barrowford, we manage more than 250 kitchen projects each year here at Kitchen Design Centre. Many of these kitchens are for individual customers, but we also specialise in providing exceptional designer kitchens to housebuilders and developers. We have a particularly successful longstanding relationship with Candelisa, a prestigious Yorkshire-based property developer that is (like us) known for the peerless quality of its designs.
The company already has an impressive array of awards on its shelves, and its team have recently managed to secure their latest accolade: the Best High Volume New Housing Development at the prestigious LABC Awards!
In case you need a quick refresher, the LABC Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the UK’s building control sector, aimed at celebrating and rewarding building projects, and the people behind them. The Best High Volume New Housing Development in question was Candelisa’s project at Countyfields, Embsay. Due to our strong relationship with the company (largely through Simon Thomas, the head of our Barrowford showroom), Kitchen Design Centre was chosen to deliver every kitchen at the Embsay development – and like Candelisa’s team, we’re hugely proud of the results.

Latest case study now live incase you missed it.

With a keen eye for design, Nicole knew the look she wanted and approached a local kitchen company. They came up with a range of designs but although there was nothing wrong with them, the couple felt that they would like an alternative design. They were already dealing with a lot of different companies for other rooms in the house and were reluctant to involve another but Anthony suggested they visited Rowan at Kitchen Design Centre Urmston to see if he could improve the design, and they were absolutely blown away with what he came up with.
