Gorgeous Designer Kitchen Cupboard Handles

The contemporary look is a favourite amongst our Kitchen Design Centre clients; the clean, modern, spacious feel it gives means your whole home can get a real uplift with the fresh, cutting edge finish that a contemporary kitchen gives you.

Whilst the furniture and appliances you choose are important to the overall look of designer kitchens, so are all those little extras, like your kitchen cupboard handles – a finishing touch you should never dismiss! When discussing kitchen design with our clients, we make sure we have every little detail covered!

So today, we’re going to explore some gorgeous designer kitchen cupboard handles, one of the more overlooked aspects which actually enhances that contemporary look; an essential element in creating the kitchen you’ve always hoped for.

Contemporary chrome to modernist glass

Chrome kitchen handles give you that sleek, designer look and work perfectly with modern and contemporary kitchen styles. Worried about mixing colour and textures? Don’t be! Chrome looks great on wooden cupboards as well as on high gloss finishes. In fact, it’s the contrast of metal with glossy cabinets or natural wood which really help to give a kitchen that modern look.

Other popular material options for your handles include nickel, stainless steel and even colourful glass – which really does achieve that modern, bright look!

Bold Vs Minimalist

Whilst there are lots of stylish decorative handles available which can add a bold touch to your kitchen cabinets – from chrome bars, to bow handles and rounded D shaped handles – another trend is the minimalist finger pull handle. Here, a small, thin handle lays on the top of the door, protruding just a few centimetres. The goal of this style of handle is to produce less visual clutter.

A top 2014 trend for designer kitchens

Alternatively, you could go ultra minimalist and handle free, with your cupboard drawer fronts constructed with integrated handles. The subtle horizontal lip on cabinets doesn’t break up the final finish that modern cabinets give you, achieving a really clean and sharp result.

AWARD-WINNING KITCHENS FOR AN AWARD-WINNING DEVELOPER

As you may know if you’ve visited any of our showrooms in Manchester, Blackburn, Liverpool or Barrowford, we manage more than 250 kitchen projects each year here at Kitchen Design Centre. Many of these kitchens are for individual customers, but we also specialise in providing exceptional designer kitchens to housebuilders and developers. We have a particularly successful longstanding relationship with Candelisa, a prestigious Yorkshire-based property developer that is (like us) known for the peerless quality of its designs.
The company already has an impressive array of awards on its shelves, and its team have recently managed to secure their latest accolade: the Best High Volume New Housing Development at the prestigious LABC Awards!
In case you need a quick refresher, the LABC Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the UK’s building control sector, aimed at celebrating and rewarding building projects, and the people behind them. The Best High Volume New Housing Development in question was Candelisa’s project at Countyfields, Embsay. Due to our strong relationship with the company (largely through Simon Thomas, the head of our Barrowford showroom), Kitchen Design Centre was chosen to deliver every kitchen at the Embsay development – and like Candelisa’s team, we’re hugely proud of the results.

Latest case study now live incase you missed it.

With a keen eye for design, Nicole knew the look she wanted and approached a local kitchen company. They came up with a range of designs but although there was nothing wrong with them, the couple felt that they would like an alternative design. They were already dealing with a lot of different companies for other rooms in the house and were reluctant to involve another but Anthony suggested they visited Rowan at Kitchen Design Centre Urmston to see if he could improve the design, and they were absolutely blown away with what he came up with.
