At Kitchen Design Centre, we specialise in creating kitchens that are high quality, stylish, functional, and durable, using only suppliers that meet these requirements too.

Hacker: a world-class brand

If you’ve met with one of our designers, or visited our showrooms, you’ll know that German brand, Hacker, are one company who feature in many of our kitchen designs. Why? Because they are renowned for their design, reliability, commitment and success in the world of kitchens, complementing our big ideas and customer needs.

Inspiring our kitchen designs

To see what 2015 and beyond held for Hacker kitchens, we decided to pay them a visit at their factory in Germany. The facility itself was rather impressive, a mecca for contemporary German kitchen design, and our tour revealed to the team the newest kitchen styles, doors and worktop ranges. One of the highlights of our annual tour had to be the extensive range of displays, which provided inspiration to all our designers, showing them how the new styles could be used and how they could work together. Simon Thomas, designer at our Colne kitchen showroom, even began to plan the new display for the Blackburn kitchen showroom whilst he was on the visit. Of course, the designs were inspired by the latest displays at the Hacker factory.

A few of our favourite things…

Will Hustler, our longest serving employee, based in the Blackburn showroom, was particularly impressed with the stunning stone effect range, which he could see fitting in perfectly with any contemporary home. Whilst the new Systemat range, caught John Crosby’s eye, one of our Manchester kitchen showroom designers. He particularly liked the modern edge of Systemat and the fact that the designs offered customers something really unique. Grace Davis, our newest kitchen designer and interior design graduate, had a real soft spot for the grey basalt doors and matching laminate worktops – which we’re sure you will see popping up in her work in the not to distant future!

New designs coming your way

Our visit to Hacker Germany has made us really excited about what’s to come in the world of kitchen design. There’s no doubt that we’ve returned from our visit totally inspired by the modern designs – which will be coming to kitchens near you very soon!

TRADITION MEETS MODERNITY IN OUR LIVERPOOL SHOWROOM

In our Liverpool showroom, we’ve masterfully blended the best of traditional and modern design elements to create a unique, timeless kitchen display. This space is a perfect mix of classic elegance with contemporary functionality, and the focal point is the stunning L-shaped island, which serves as both a practical workspace and a social hub. Its clever design seamlessly links into a media wall and presentation area, incorporating the essence of modern open-plan living.

The colour scheme is a sophisticated mix of Concept130 Roma Graphite shaker cabinets paired with Montreal light fine oak handleless units and taupe trim handles. This combination offers a perfect balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, perfect if you appreciate the classics but want something a little more updated.

MODERN MINIMALISM AT ITS FINEST IN OUR URMSTON SHOWROOM

Our Urmston showroom display showcases a bold, modern kitchen design that effortlessly blends both form and function. The handleless units create a streamlined, uninterrupted flow throughout the space, perfectly complemented by the ultra-matt black finish on the worktops. This pairs beautifully with the elegant black ribbed-veneered door for the focal wall.

This minimalist design approach offers a chic, contemporary vibe, ideal if you love the clean, clutter-free aesthetic. To enhance this look, we’ve used warm accent colours that break up the monochrome palette, adding a sense of inviting depth and warmth to the overall space. The subtle, extravagant marble panels add a touch of quiet luxury, their natural veining providing visual interest and texture against the sleek black surfaces, especially when lit by warm LED lighting. This fusion of modern materials and timeless elements, such as marble, creates a display that is both stylish and practical!

The warm, neutral tones of the Natural Umber give this kitchen a wonderfully cosy feel, making it a welcoming space for both cooking and entertaining.

One of the key features of this display is the 30mm Vanilla Noir quartz worktop, which stands out with its dark, characterful design. The designer bench seating includes pullout storage to maximise space without sacrificing style. The bifold worktop unit and sliding doors on the island showcase smart storage solutions. Finally, the open shelves add a touch of rustic charm!
