At Kitchen Design Centre we’re committed to green issues and a reduction in the environmental impact of our operations.
In an effort to improve our green credentials, we recycle as much as we can. We’re delighted to say that in 2019, we recycled a total of 5456 kg of packaging.
Our annual certificate of recycling from the Environment Agency North West Region breaks this down further and shows that last year we recycled 3608 kg of cardboard, 658 kg of plastic and 1190 kg of polystyrene.
This has resulted in a saving of 5,015 kg of carbon dioxide last year alone.
Managing Director Roger Astin explains why these figures are such an achievement for the company, “We want to protect the natural environment as much as possible and thanks to the efforts of our staff we’ve achieved these fantastic levels of recycling. We’re always aiming to improve our green credentials and recycling our packaging is a major way we can do this. We’re delighted to have achieved such an overall carbon dioxide saving last year and look to achieving an even higher figure in 2020.”
