Spotlight on our designer kitchens in Manchester

You may already know that at Kitchen Design Centre, we’ve got kitchen showrooms across the North West, in Blackburn, Manchester and Barrowford. Our kitchen showroom in Manchester is amongst our longest-serving locations, home to a wonderful team of talented designers who’ve produced some truly fantastic contemporary kitchens in Manchester itself, as well as the surrounding area. This week, we’re taking a closer look at just a few of our previous success stories!

Modern Chic Kitchen Style

Style:

  • Chic and timeless contemporary design

Story:

Before they stopped by our Manchester showroom, Mr and Mrs Killeen had been working hard to renovate their Oldham home to bring it into the 21st century. Eventually they set their sights on the kitchen, which they wanted to be carefully updated with a style and effortless functionality that matched the rest of their home. Our designer was only too happy to help, designing a truly stunning space in a chic grey and white colour palette.

One of the key requirements for Mr and Mrs Killeen was to transform the kitchen into a true social space. Our designer responded with features such as a built-in wine cabinet drinks area, and plenty of fantastic mood lighting across the space. She also added mirror splashbacks, which reflect the light to make it look even bigger and brighter – perfect for parties and social soirees!

Central feature:

  • Beautiful mood and feature lighting above a floating breakfast bar, in 40mm Silver Oak

The Cashmere Touch

Style:

  • Elegant, modern German design

Story:

Having increased their space due to a recent garage conversion, Mr and Mrs O’Doherty spent twelve whole months looking at various options from local companies. Finally, they met John Crosby at our Manchester designer kitchen showroom, where he discussed plans for an amazing German kitchen that suited them right down to the ground. What the O’Dohertys loved most about it was that they felt it made the most effective use of the increased space. What’s more, they loved the way that John made sure the cashmere colour scheme of his design fitted seamlessly with style of the rest of the house.

Central feature:

  • A long central island for additional food preparation space, as well as extra space for storage

Size Matters

Style:

  • Sleek, modern design

Story:

For years, Mr and Mrs McGowan’s kitchen was a tall, slimline galley space. Though they have their advantages in some ways, at Kitchen Design Centre we find that most of us usually prefer a bit of breathing space! So when the McGowans moved into a new home, with a brand new kitchen, that’s exactly what they were after: space. Happily, John Crosby – at our designer kitchen showroom in Manchester – was on hand to help!

Once he’d assessed the space and had a detailed discussion with the McGowans about exactly what they wanted from their new kitchen, he created a design that incorporated the couple’s conservatory, to bring in plenty of natural light. He also recommended laser soft basalt grey and antique white cabinets, to prevent a beautifully clean colour scheme from becoming too clinical. The McGowans loved the results!

Central feature:

  • 80mm breakfast bar between the kitchen peninsula and island

AWARD-WINNING KITCHENS FOR AN AWARD-WINNING DEVELOPER

As you may know if you’ve visited any of our showrooms in Manchester, Blackburn, Liverpool or Barrowford, we manage more than 250 kitchen projects each year here at Kitchen Design Centre. Many of these kitchens are for individual customers, but we also specialise in providing exceptional designer kitchens to housebuilders and developers. We have a particularly successful longstanding relationship with Candelisa, a prestigious Yorkshire-based property developer that is (like us) known for the peerless quality of its designs.
The company already has an impressive array of awards on its shelves, and its team have recently managed to secure their latest accolade: the Best High Volume New Housing Development at the prestigious LABC Awards!
In case you need a quick refresher, the LABC Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the UK’s building control sector, aimed at celebrating and rewarding building projects, and the people behind them. The Best High Volume New Housing Development in question was Candelisa’s project at Countyfields, Embsay. Due to our strong relationship with the company (largely through Simon Thomas, the head of our Barrowford showroom), Kitchen Design Centre was chosen to deliver every kitchen at the Embsay development – and like Candelisa’s team, we’re hugely proud of the results.

Latest case study now live incase you missed it.

With a keen eye for design, Nicole knew the look she wanted and approached a local kitchen company. They came up with a range of designs but although there was nothing wrong with them, the couple felt that they would like an alternative design. They were already dealing with a lot of different companies for other rooms in the house and were reluctant to involve another but Anthony suggested they visited Rowan at Kitchen Design Centre Urmston to see if he could improve the design, and they were absolutely blown away with what he came up with.
