Get all the taste, texture and flavour by opting for seasonal vegetables to spruce up your dish. Some of our favourites include artichokes, mushrooms and asparagus – which come together nicely for a seasonal pizza; broccoli and potatoes for the must-have roast; and oriental favorites of Chinese greens, kaffir lime leaves and pak choi for something a little special!

Juicy fruits

Just because it’s autumn, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a yummy fruit salad. While berries may slowly begin to disappear this month, other classics, such as apples, grapes, bananas, mango and damsons are great options to choose from.

Seasonal proteins

October is all about embracing rich, hearty flavours so you’ll find no light or bland meat in this month’s recipes. Beef, mutton, pork, veal and game meats are just some of our favourites, while halibut and lemon sole are great options when it comes to fish.

Be inspired with our October menu favourites

The Bake It Yourself team, at Neff, have been busy creating delicious menus for the season – allowing you to take advantage of local produce at its tastiest! Here are just a few of our October favourites:

To warm up: Sweet Potato, Red Pepper & Coconut Soup

Recipe

Perfect as a starter or a snack to enjoy at any time you’re feeling the October chill, this scrumptious soup is hearty, warming and has a delightful sweet kick. We think it’s safe to say your kids will love it too. Taking just 25 minutes to prepare and 40 minutes to cook, using Neff’s CircoTherm, it’s rather quick to whip up too!

A delicious dinner: Mushroom Risotto

Recipe

Whether you’re entertaining or looking for good grub the whole family can enjoy, the mushroom risotto is always a winner. Featuring some of the month’s best vegetables – such as mushrooms, peas and asparagus – it’s also full of fantastic nutrients. Pop on your Neff hob for 25-30 minutes and enjoy!

For those social occasions: Pork & Boar Patties

Recipe

If you’re celebrating the season with a party, or having a Halloween do, these pork and boar patties will go down a treat. Pop into a grilled bap with some seasonal salad and you’ll have bite-sized delights guaranteed to wow your guests. What’s more, Neff’s CircoRoast helps you get the texture of the burgers just right too!

For something sweet: Cinder Toffee Apple Flapjack

Recipe

Ideal for Halloween, these yummy flapjack treats will satisfy adults and kids alike. Bake a batch of 12 in your Neff CircoTherm and enjoy!

AS SEEN ON GEORGE CLARKE’S BEAUTIFUL BUILDS: FROM DATED LAYOUT TO DREAM ENTERTAINING SPACE

When Katherine and Andrew purchased their property, they always knew a full renovation would follow.

With both the outdated kitchen and untouched garden requiring significant transformation, the project soon became part of Channel 4’s George Clarke’s Beautiful Builds – it was an opportunity they felt perfectly aligned with their vision for the property.

While searching for a local kitchen specialist, Kitchen Design Centre immediately stood out thanks to its long-standing reputation, glowing customer reviews and welcoming showroom experience.

The brief focused on creating a sleek, contemporary kitchen that would feel open, social and highly functional, while complementing the wider architectural renovation of the home.

The finished design delivers a beautifully balanced space that combines clean lines with luxurious detailing.
One of the standout features is the striking worktop design. The waterfall edge peninsula creates a bold focal point within the room, while the continuation of the material across the side panels introduces a seamless, premium aesthetic.

Functionality was equally important throughout the design process, with carefully considered storage solutions and high-quality appliances helping to simplify everyday living. Among Katherine and Andrew’s favourite additions is the Neff oven, praised for both its versatility and pyrolytic self-cleaning function.
The completed result is a sophisticated contemporary space that completely transforms how the home looks, feels, and functions, perfectly reflecting Katherine and Andrew’s original vision from the moment they moved in.
