A Barrowford couple had no intention of replacing their kitchen but a stroll past Kitchen Design Centre’s Barrowford showroom with their dog changed that. They were blown away by the stunning displays in the window and decided to call in and look at the whole showroom.
They immediately warmed to designer Suzanne Carter and their dream kitchen started to take shape then and there – with the dog in tow!
They particularly loved one of the displays and picked various features from it: a shaker style door, copper handles, a wine cooler, Quooker tap, integrated bin, ice trough and exactly the same pendant lights that were above the island.
The fact Kitchen Design Centre is a Neff Masterpartner was a bonus as they wanted Neff to complement their existing appliances and chose a Neff Combi microwave, dishwasher and extractor.

The couple took advantage of Kitchen Design Centre’s free home design visit and building on their initial visit to the showroom, started to formalise their ideas.
Because they hadn’t planned to change the kitchen, Suzanne worked the design around the appliances they wanted to keep like their range cooker and fridge freezer. She also changed the lay-out of the room by suggesting they removed an internal wall.
They liked how realistic the visuals were: the room looked fantastic and so different that they couldn’t resist going for the new kitchen.
Finished Kitchen
The timeless design incorporated shaker doors and made the narrow room seem much larger and lighter with the clever contrast of grey and dark colours.
As the couple spend a lot of time abroad they loved that Suzanne project managed the process from start to finish in their absence and that the Kitchen Design Centre fitters fitted their kitchen whilst they were away.
The couple are over the moon with their new kitchen and with the whole Kitchen Design Centre team. They particularly liked the care and attention shown throughout the project and the help in driving it forwards whilst they were away, “The kitchen is wonderful. Suzanne did an amazing job designing it and the fitters were fantastic. We only walked past the showroom with our dog for a nosey and ended up with the kitchen of our dreams!”
