A frequent visitor to Housing Units, he naturally gravitated towards the renowned Kitchen Design Centre showroom which is based on-site. The moment he stepped inside, he was captivated by the stunning displays, each one sparking fresh ideas for his own project.
It was here that Dave met designer Paul Harrington, whose creativity and expertise set the tone for the entire journey. From the outset, Dave was clear that he wanted a sleek, monochrome scheme. Paul took this vision and elevated it into an exceptional design that was perfect from the very first design—no alterations needed.

A key feature of the new layout was the reimagined island. Previously set vertically, Paul cleverly reoriented it horizontally, instantly transforming the flow and function of the space. This subtle yet impactful change created a more sociable and practical hub at the heart of the home.
Trusting Paul’s guidance entirely, Dave embraced his recommendations for appliances, opting for a complete suite from Neff. The seamless integration of these high-performance appliances not only enhances functionality but also complements the streamlined contemporary style. This was further enhanced with a Quooker Pro 3 Flex tap and Blanco sink.
One of Dave’s favourite elements is a personal twist inspired by the showroom itself: the illuminated slogan that first caught his eye during his visit. Recreated within his own kitchen, it has become a unique focal point, injecting character and a touch of personality into the monochrome design.
