The kitchen was to become the focal point of the new house and the largest room downstairs. Sue wanted it to be the perfect room for entertaining family and friends but suitable for everyday living when it was just the two of them.
The kitchen was so important that Sue researched various kitchen companies, getting quotes and designs from three in total.
Kitchen Design Centre came out as the clear winner as Sue preferred their design and felt designer Rowan Chick, who she met when she visited the Urmston showroom, was not only the best designer but the type of person she could work with. She found Rowan wasn’t pushy like designers at other companies and liked his calm, confident manner. Most importantly, she felt she could trust him.

Sue also liked the fact that Kitchen Design Centre’s Urmston showroom gave her lots of inspiration and ideas for her kitchen. She loved one of the taupe and concrete coloured displays and went for a Taupe matt lacquered door, combined with a Putty Concrete Graphite textured laminate one.
A pantry cupboard displayed in the showroom really caught her eye and she had her heart set on replicating this in her kitchen which Rowan did to great effect. She also liked that Kitchen Design Centre were able to design her a matching utility room in a separate room behind the kitchen.
As a keen cook Sue wanted the best appliances and was delighted that Kitchen Design Centre was a Neff Masterpartner. She chose two Slide and Hide Pyrolytic Ovens together with the Flex Induction hob, separate build in Fridge and Freezers, a dishwasher and Wine Cabinet. For hot water on demand, she opted for the Quooker Flex in Chrome.
Because there was a lot of work going on in the house, Sue needed to be able to leave the fitters to it and she can’t praise Graham and his team enough. They did a fantastic job of installing the kitchen and utility room.
The finished kitchen living space has become the heart of their new home, they love the large room and how it suits their lifestyle. Most of all they love the reaction when friends visit the new house. They are blown away with the kitchen and the space as a whole.

After years of imagining the potential hidden within their awkward layout, they finally decided to transform the space into something truly special.
