Replicating a Kitchen Design Centre kitchen…four years later

Gordon and Sabrina loved the Shaker style kitchen that Paul Harrington designed for them in their Hyde home so much that when they moved to Marple, they called on Kitchen Design Centre and Paul again to create a similar kitchen in their new house!

Incorporating Hampton Graphite and White shaker doors but with a modern design twist, the kitchen was the same colour as their first kitchen but slightly bigger to accommodate their new space. Antique bronze effect handles completed the look and the worktops were almost identical but this time they opted for 30mm Calacatta Aurum which has a stunning gold fleck throughout.

Like the last kitchen, a large island dominates the design and offers casual dining in the form of breakfast bar dinging together with an undercounter wine cabinet and two Neff ovens which complement Sabrina’s existing range cooker.

Gordon and Sabrina found Paul’s advice to be invaluable as at one point they were considering an extension to make the kitchen space bigger but Paul showed them that with the right design in the existing space, an extension wasn’t necessary.

They loved the Neff appliances in their first Kitchen Design Centre kitchen so chose Neff once again, opting for the Slide and Hide oven, warming drawer and Compact Oven and Microwave. To tie-in with the overall Shaker style, a Blanco Villae Single Bowl Ceramic Farmhouse Sink was chosen together with a Pro3 Fusion round Quooker tap in Patinated Brass.

Like the first time, the couple found Kitchen Design Centre’s project management to be spot on and the fitters were excellent again, with everything running smoothly.

The finished space is stunning and Sabrina loves how she’s already familiar with cooking in the kitchen and knows where everything is and how all the appliances work.

"We loved our Kitchen Design Centre kitchen in our last house and were really impressed with Paul so it made sense to go back to Paul for a similar kitchen! It looks fantastic, we’re delighted once again."

What Our Designer Says

"I loved designing Gordon and Sabrina’s kitchen the first time round. With a twist on a classic shaker style, this design looks fantastic. It was great to replicate the design in their new house, adapting it to suit the new space."

AWARD-WINNING KITCHENS FOR AN AWARD-WINNING DEVELOPER

As you may know if you’ve visited any of our showrooms in Manchester, Blackburn, Liverpool or Barrowford, we manage more than 250 kitchen projects each year here at Kitchen Design Centre. Many of these kitchens are for individual customers, but we also specialise in providing exceptional designer kitchens to housebuilders and developers. We have a particularly successful longstanding relationship with Candelisa, a prestigious Yorkshire-based property developer that is (like us) known for the peerless quality of its designs.
The company already has an impressive array of awards on its shelves, and its team have recently managed to secure their latest accolade: the Best High Volume New Housing Development at the prestigious LABC Awards!
In case you need a quick refresher, the LABC Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the UK’s building control sector, aimed at celebrating and rewarding building projects, and the people behind them. The Best High Volume New Housing Development in question was Candelisa’s project at Countyfields, Embsay. Due to our strong relationship with the company (largely through Simon Thomas, the head of our Barrowford showroom), Kitchen Design Centre was chosen to deliver every kitchen at the Embsay development – and like Candelisa’s team, we’re hugely proud of the results.

Latest case study now live incase you missed it.

With a keen eye for design, Nicole knew the look she wanted and approached a local kitchen company. They came up with a range of designs but although there was nothing wrong with them, the couple felt that they would like an alternative design. They were already dealing with a lot of different companies for other rooms in the house and were reluctant to involve another but Anthony suggested they visited Rowan at Kitchen Design Centre Urmston to see if he could improve the design, and they were absolutely blown away with what he came up with.
